We at Forster Tullett are thrilled to be on board with this impressive refurb project!
Being one of the UK’s largest teaching hospitals, it’s essential that the dedicated staff, students and visitors at St George’s have somewhere fresh and inviting to relax and replenish. Peabody’s have five coffee shops within the hospital complex and we’re delighted to be involved with the refurbishment of their Hunter Wing outlet!
In 2017 Peabody’s commissioned the award-winning Italian architecture firm Modourbano to work their magic in creating a unique new look for their coffee shops, which resulted in a number of elegant and inviting spaces, including those at St George’s Hospital. We at Forster Tullett are thrilled to be on board with this impressive refurb project – particularly after everything the NHS staff have had to endure over the past couple of years.
Works began right after Christmas, starting with the strip out of the existing store. Shane and his team are down in Tooting, hustling away on the full internal fitout which will include a new HVAC system, a stunning terrace, unique floor and wall finishes and our favourite bit – the signature Peabody’s oak ceiling.
We can’t wait to see customers enjoying their flat whites and paninis here next month!
