The renovation of 40 Spring Gardens

Making our mark in Manchester

We were delighted to be approached by Aviva Investors and Avid Property Consultants to undertake the façade replacement works on 40 Spring Gardens office building in the heart of Manchester’s financial district. It’s a prominent building in popular area and our chance to really make an impact.

Aviva has always proven prolific in Manchester, forward-funding developments at Two New Bailey and a new hotel at Circle Square – Manchester’s Oxford Road Corridor innovation district. 40 Spring Gardens is home to Aldermore Bank, Lloyds,Aon, Café Beermoth, designer clothing store Hervia, plus luxurious salon – House of Evelyn.

It was a privilege then to be selected for this big profile job.

The project itself was complex primarily due to its location in the heart of the city centre. This was a complicated project with tight constraints requiring our design team and consultant engineers consistently on-site to oversee the work. Works included the replacement of the terracotta & aluminium façade but also included high level glazing replacement works and structural alterations.
